Helping People Remember.

Hi, I'm Niambi!

Author, Spiritual Midwife, and guide for those standing at the threshold of transformation.

For more than three decades, I have devoted my life to helping people remember - remember their wholeness beneath their wounds, their wisdom beneath their conditioning, and their connection to one another beneath the illusion of separation.

I come from a lineage of midwives in rural Alabama, and I've spent the last 30 years carrying that medicine into a different kind of birth: the birth of wholeness.  Through retreats, trainings, writing, and leadership work, I support the tender labor of transformation - where shadow becomes wisdom and repair becomes a way of life.

At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: we are not here to become someone else. We are here to remember who we have always been.

What if the patterns governing your life are not merely beliefs - but vows?
In Sacred Contracts: From Hidden Vows to Spiritual Sovereignty, Niambi Jaha-Echols reveals the invisible agreements women make and inherit in order ot survive, belong, remain lovable, or stay safe.  Formed in response to pain, shame, scarcity, betrayal, and disconnection, these hidden vows quietly shape everything from self-worth and visibility to comparison, mistrust, and the fractured space between women.

With spiritual depth, emotional honesty, and an original Sacred Shadow framework, this book helps readers uncover the contracts beneath their llives, recognize the portals that reveal them, and move toward Spiritual Sovereignty - a return to self-turst, sacred permission, embodied truth, and freer relationship with themselves and one another.

This is not simply a book about healing what lives within us. It is also about healing what has lived between us: the scarcity, silence, self-betrayal, and mistrust that keep women disconnected from their own truth and at odds with one another.

Through compassionate insight and transformative language, Sacred Contracts offers a path for naming the vow, releasing the contract, and reclaiming the wisdom, power, and wholeness that have always belonged to us.

Beneath every policy, agenda, and board vote lives something we rarely name out loud: a mission has a soul—and the way we govern either protects that soul or slowly suffocates it.

Governance as Ceremony: Restoring Purpose, Relationship, and Spirit to the Work of Social Change is an invitation to reimagine governance not as cold compliance, but as spiritual architecture—the living structures that hold purpose, power, people, and possibility. Written for founders, board members, executive directors, and justice-centered leaders—especially those carrying Spirit-born missions—this book tells the truth about why so many nonprofit and movement spaces become “airless,” even when their work is sacred.

Part manifesto, part guidebook, and part circle, Governance as Ceremony is for anyone who knows—deep down—that our missions deserve more than Robert’s Rules and survival-based leadership. It is a call to build boards as circles of care, treat conflict as a portal, move money with integrity, and create structures that let people breathe. Most of all, it is an invitation to become what this moment requires: a Ceremony Keeper—one who governs with courage, tenderness, truth, and Spirit, so the work of social change can endure without losing its heart.

In 2019, right before the 2020 pandemic, I wrote "What Color Is Your Soul?: Healing The Illusion Of Our Separateness".  Little did I know that we were collectively headed for the heightened cultural strife that was exacerbated by the televised murder of George Floyd.  The bridge between Social Justice and Spirituality was missing.   I now realize that I was led to write this book in preparation for the work that is being done today.  This book offers solutions.   Join me on this incredible journey towards healing the illusion of our cross-cultural divisions and separateness.
